Word interview has been derived from French word “Entre Voir” which means to see each other, or in terms of definition when person ask questions to another person and another person answered the questions.

There are several types of interviews. Which management opt for hiring candidates in the organization.

Structured interview- Structured interview method is, using the same structure for the same type of position. Here question will be in the same format for all the applicants.

Unstructured interview- In unstructured interview there will be no fixed number of question in same pattern for all. It will be open ended questions form. Benefit of these type of structure is interviewer can collect more information in detail.

Mixed interview- Its a mixed of structured and unstructured type of interview, like there will be some certain questions and some spontaneous questions. It will the better insight of the job seeker.

Behavioral interview- These type of interview allows employer to understand the behavior of the job seeker. question can be like- what difficult situation you faced in your job and how did you resolve it?

Stress Interview- Stress interview is, when interviewer ask uncomfortable questions to a job seeker. So that he can know how did the candidate handle a stress or stressful situations, difficulties in job and with clients. Questions would be like — Why did you get fire? Why are you applying for this job when you don’t have experience.

One to One interview- It is most easiest form of interview where interviewer interview interviewee. Face to face interview on different stages on focused areas.

Ask several questions related with experiences, preferences, attitude and behavior. Follow 80/20 rule to win this type of interview which means where employer wants to here more from you .

Panel Interview- Panel interview is when two or more then two people interview candidates. In Panel interview mostly HR representative and other colleagues conduct the interview.

Telephonic Interview- Telephonic interview is quick way of interview for shortlisting next round of interview. Many companies conduct first round of interview telephonically then proceed for further round. It includes some general questions like-Tell me about your experience and job role? Why are you looking for job change?

Video Interview- Currently this type of interview is in prevail after pandemic this type of interview has garbed a place for conducting interview . This is also called as Virtual interview.
